Aircraft Loading and Gear Configuration
HVS-A had set operational parameters regarding vehicle speed, tire pressure, wheel location, and other factors. For this research phase, a single wheel load (SWL) with a wheel load of 40 kips was applied using the HVS-A. All traffic was conducted at a vehicle speed of 3 mph (4.8 km/h) and with a nominal tire pressure of 214 psi.
