Wander Pattern
Two different wander patterns were used: 22 position pattern and a 66 position pattern. Both wander patterns were arranged into 11 wheel tracks to describe the positioning of the tire loading. The 22-position wander pattern was used for pre-traffic testing of sensor responses and the 66-position wander pattern was used for traffic testing. According to the distribution of the 66-position wander pattern, the centerline (Track 0) had the greatest number of HVS-A tire passes. In both wander patterns, each wheel movement (north or south) of the HVS-A was counted as a single pass.
