Vehicle Specification

PaveTesting brought in their own FWD testing vehicle at the Round-Up.  The following outlines many of the vehicle parameters during the testing of the Round-Up pavement.  The drop sequence followed the recommended testing load levels for a FWD vehicle.  Data from the seating drop was not collected along with the test drops.  As such, an unknown seating drop load was followed by 9k, 12k, and 16k lbs test drops.  The PaveTest has 9 sensors measuring deflections.  1 sensor is positioned at the center of the plate with 6 other sensors positioned behind the plate at 12" spacing.  The two remaining sensors are also positioned behind the plate at 8" and 18".  This vehicle was operated without a towing vehicle and was instead pushed.

Testing

Testing of Cycle 1 and Cycle 2 with the PaveTest was performed on 10-20-2010.  Instrumentation embedded within the pavement also acquired data during testing.  The PaveTest deflection data was collected in the file format .csv.  A file was created for each drop location generating many files for the total project.  The .csv files were converted into a .pddx file after testing using a separate conversion program.  Both file formats are available for download.
