Simulation Tests of Proposed Instrument Approach Lighting Systems for Heliport Operations

The work described in this report was undertaken in response to a request from the Office of Airport Standards, AAS-IOO, through Rotorcraft Program Branch, APM450, and accomplished under Technical Center project TI9-02D, "Heliport Lighting and Marking." The purpose of this evaluation was to determine the effectiveness of proposed Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) Heliport Approach Lighting Systems under reduced visibility conditions.
