FAARFIELD is the world’s preeminent airfield thickness design program. Airport Technology Research & Development (ATR) is constantly improving FAARFIELD by incorporating knowledge gained through accelerated pavement testing and advanced computer modeling methods. ATR also supports the development of the new ACR-PCR pavement strength reporting method in cooperation with ICAO.
ATR is updating and modernizing the FAARFIELD program for the next generation of pavement designs. FAARFIELD 2.0 will feature a user-friendly interface, updated aircraft library, integrated web support, and full replacement of legacy computer languages.
